AND SO IT GOES…#46

The infantilisation of public discourse continues apace without much chance of an interruption anytime soon.Yesterday’s exchanges during Parliament’s “Prime Ministers’ Questions” (or PMQ as the acronymically-obsessed Media demand it be referred to.) highlighted the absurdity, not only of the facile quasi-rhetorical exchanges across the Chamber, but also the utter intellectual bankruptcy of all those who participated in those stage-managed claims and counter claims. No matter of import was addressed. No great and urgent issues of the moment were dealt with or examined.Slaughter, social mayhem and economic chaos are on the rampage throughout the World and what does the once Mother-of-parliaments choose to expend its energies on?The shrill, collective feminized and feminist voice of new-wabour(sic) cries out to the effect,”Please Sir,he called me names!”
